Education Consultation Group

For schools & institutions

Guidance built for the whole building — not one student at a time.

Education Consultation Group began with one-hour consultations for students and families. This page is the same practice, at program level: we work with schools, school districts, nonprofits, and colleges to build guidance that reaches every student — with the same rule we use in a one-on-one session: every honest path on the table, from four-year degrees to service, skilled pathways, and first jobs.

What we do

College & career readiness programming

Workshop series and student sessions that go past the brochure: how to choose a path, read the debt math, and take the options seriously that nobody at school mentions — gap years, military service, Peace Corps and AmeriCorps, government service, and direct-to-career routes. Family information sessions included, because parents are half the decision.

Advising program design & review

An outside read on your counseling and advising program: where students fall through, which touchpoints actually change decisions, and what to fix first. You get a written assessment and a prioritized plan — not a binder that gathers dust.

Counselor & advisor training

Professional development for the people students already trust: pathway advising beyond the four-year default, career-launch strategy from the hiring side of the table, and honest-outcomes communication with families.

Sponsored consultation seats

Fund one-hour consultations for your students — scholarship seats with plain, anonymized impact reporting. See the Partner page for sponsorship models, or fold seats into a larger engagement.

Who brings us in

  • Public and private high schools — readiness programming and counselor support.
  • School districts — consistent pathway advising across buildings.
  • Youth-serving nonprofits & foundations — guidance programming and sponsored seats for the students you serve.
  • Colleges & workforce programs — career-launch programming for students nearing the job market.

How an engagement runs

1. A short discovery conversation. Tell us your students, your constraints, and what isn’t working. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so and point you somewhere better.

2. A written proposal. Scope, deliverables, timeline, and a flat quoted fee — in writing, before anything starts. Institutional work is scoped individually; there is no rate card, because no two schools need the same thing.

3. Delivery and follow-up. Sessions, materials, and a written summary your team keeps. What we promised, in writing, is what you get.

The honest fine print

  • New practice, said plainly. Education Consultation Group was founded in 2026. Institutional work is led personally by founder Puru Gaur (MPH, MBA; director-level mentor) — we don’t claim institutional clients we don’t have.
  • No guaranteed outcomes. We improve how students decide; we cannot guarantee admissions, placements, or employment — for institutions any more than for families.
  • Quoted in writing, always. Every engagement is scoped and priced in a written proposal before we start. No hourly surprises.
